Fr. Jonah: I just wanted to thank-you again for the wonderful morning you hosted for my prayer group yesterday. We loved hearing your "story" you were gracious enough to share with us. All of us had a very Spiritual morning with you. Thanks again!! Your friend in Christ, John Wunder from Muscatine.

I love New Melleray, it has changed my life since I was first introduced to the retreat weekends a few years ago. I did not have God in my life before then and I have not been without God since then! This is a truly special place and web site. I love father Xavier, God bless you all.

The website is grand indeed. I was especially blessed to read the Chapter Talks and the articles on the deceased monks - how inspiring for those of us who flag in our energies at times. The homilies of the Abbot are so down-to-earth-while-pointing-to-heaven that it is like being there in person at a clothing or profession. The essay on death and dying is superbly done, the reality and realism is embracing and a wonderful meditation on death. I write from Prince Edward Island on the East Coast of Canada, where I serve St. Patrick's Parish and our local general hospital as chaplain. Thanks to all who have provided and maintain this website, it is surely an expression of fraternal compassion.

Dear Monks of New Melleray,
I enjoy your website very much. Your monastery is awesome, such a quiet and peaceful home. In mid-October, I attended my fourth retreat at St. Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Mass. Thank you dear Trappists for allowing me and so many others to enter into your life, if only for a little while.
God bless you!

I made a retreat in early August and this was a time of deep spiritual closeness to God. I was, often, entrenched in a sense of inner peace, solace, and joy during the gathering of monks for prayer, the sense of God's Presence that beckons me to return.

A great place to go for a rest and become energized with God. I stop in every time I go through.

I enjoy myself, every time I attend a retreat. It means a lot that the brothers, and fathers would allow my friends and I to be there for the weekend. John 3:16
