May God give each of you the strength and love for our Father and the help you give to thousands of individuals all over the USA. Please put my family in your prayers. My son was killed on his 17th birthday by a drunk driver. All of the prayers, hope and love helps me hour by hour to walk through this pain. I thank you each for every thing done. I stumbled upon your website while doing some family research and was amazed to find your piece writen about my grand-uncle Br. Ambrose Corbett. The memories of him were lovely to read. I’ve now passed them on to his nieces and nephews none of whom ever met him but who all knew about him through theletters he sometimes wrote to their mum. Thanks.

Greetings from up the road in Madison, WI. I am a transplanted Californian, married to a wonderful woman from SW Wisconsin. Her mother is dying and we are ordering a casket per her wishes...simple. ’Tis a gift to be simple, Quaker, Catholic, or whatever. When I drove past your abbey a few years ago, the Holy Spirit told me to stop by, and now we are able to take care of one of Mom’s needs, blessing her and the abbey simultaneously. God bless you all. I decided to search my maiden name on the internet and was suprised to see a name I knew. Brother Placid Zilka is my uncle. I am the youngest daughter of his brother Louis. I enjoyed your website very much and was glad to find it. The question and answer section was very interesting and so were the comments in the guestbook. Will add you all to my prayers, along with those who asked for extra prayers in comments in the guestbook. By the way, mom and dad are doing fine. - Janet

70 YEARS OR MORE AGO MY FATHER DROVE ME TO NEW MELLERAY, THE MORNINH OF MY FIRST HOLY COMMUNION. THAT MORNING I MET A SAINT, BROTHER MARY JOACHIM. I ASKED A QUESTION OF THE FORMER LEO DUNNE OF IRELAND. BROTHER WAS VERY PROUD TO SAY THAT A JOACHIM HAD BECOME LEO THE GREAT, [THE HOLY FATHER, POPE LEO].
